The Story behind Floness
“Can this process be broken down into a series of yes-no questions?” asked Matti’s supervisor years ago. The wise man doesn’t give the right answers, he poses the right questions, said French philosopher Carl Lévi-Strauss. This very fundamental framing of the question is the idea behind our start-up company called Floness. Matti is a genuine software developer with extensive experience in commercializing applications as an entrepreneur.
Tuomas has always worked with accounting systems at the executive level. He has observed that despite all the talk about automation in accounting industry, there are still many things that can be automated more effectively. However, according to Tuomas, many accounting managers and experts believe that it is difficult to increase the level of automation beyond the current level.
While working at the same company, Matti and Tuomas got to know each other and shared a common vision that the level of automation could be increased even the more complicated cases.
